Plastic soda or water bottles make great inexpensive water bottles. A
2-liter bottle fits nicely into the side pocket
of most backpacks.

Prior to the hike there were concerns that it might be hot, then it might
be
wet. But the weather cooperated, and It turned out to be a beautiful hike.
The previous evenings rain made the desert glow; the flowers were blooming,
the grass was green, the one rattlesnake was friendly (kind of), and even
the saguaros seemed happy. All in all, another beautiful dayhike in
paradise!
